Before I first tried green Malay kratom, I had heard many stories about it. Everyone I met who had tried it claimed that it is the best strain of kratom. Now, considering the breadth and depth of kratom strains out there, that is a very bold claim to make. So, as you might imagine, I decided I had to experience it and judge the matter for myself.
For starters, the green Malaysian kratom is considered more potent. A small bit can get you pumped for hours on end. It also has far longer lasting effects than any other kratom. This I found out after I had tried my first 5 grams. It was so good I thought I had finally found the perfect replacement for Maeng Da which, if you’ve read any of my previous articles, you’ll know I have a deep respect for.
Ultimately, this article isn’t about which strain of kratom is the best. I’m thoroughly convinced that I have finally found the king of kratoms, but I’d like you to judge for yourself like I did.
So, why don’t we dig a little deeper and learn some more about this magical leaf?
Some Background on the Malay Kratom
In general, kratom leaves are like morphine. They act quickly to relieve any pain the user might be feeling and help with annoying things like migraines and backaches. They have also been shown to be effective against osteoporosis.
How do they do this? Through the presence of alkaloids. That’s what makes kratom leaves what they are, and Malay kratom happens to have one of the most potent alkaloids known to man: Mitragynine.
The alkaloid mitragynine isn’t soluble in water but dissolves quickly in organic solvents. This alkaloid is almost single-handedly responsible for all the properties of the Malay kratom.
What Malay Kratom Leaves Look Like
You can easily identify Malay kratom leaves by their shape and the veins they have running through them. They are oval in shape and dark green in color. They range in size from 100mm to 180 mm in both length and width. You’ll also notice that they have green-white or green-red veins running through them. The most potent leaves are the ones with the green-white veins.
A Magical Leaf
One of the major advantages of Malay kratom is that the alkaloids contained in it cannot easily be detected by drug screening tests at airports. The only way they can be detected is via high tech screening tests used by law enforcement agencies.
The leaves of the Malay kratom are quite powerful. I can understand why some people would say it is the best strain of kratom. People don’t just take this leaf for the euphoria or energy boost; it also provides some real medical benefits.
The leaves of the Malay kratom have antioxidants that enhance your immunity. It has been known to be useful to cancer patients and even help them during their chemotherapy.
It is such powerful effects that make it a popular strain of kratom. It has been taken for many hundreds of years in Malaysia and now it is being offered to the rest of the world. Count me in!
This kratom will also do the regular stuff you would normally expect from your kratom: it will enhance your mood, boost your energy and relieve you of paid. The larger leaves are typically used when making the powder and capsules due to the fact that the larger the leaves the more alkaloids it contains.
What makes this Kratom Special When Compared to other Kratoms?
It is more potent
There are lots of strains of kratom out there, and they are all powerful. However, the Malay kratom holds a special place here because of its unique power.
The Malay kratom contains the highest concentration of alkaloids per cubic inch of any strain of kratom. That means 1 gram of Malay kratom will give you a lot more stimulation than the same amount of another strain.
Its Effects are Longer Lasting
This is another thing that makes the Malay kratom stand out among its peers. It isn’t just powerful, it is durable as well. The effects of the Malay kratom will last at least 2 hours longer than the same effects in other kratoms, such the Maeng Da Kratom.
It doesn’t have sedative Effects
One of the major drawbacks of other kratom strains is their sedative effect. They certainly make you happy and provide you with relief from pain. However, this comes with a stinger in the tail.
Most kratom strains will also make you feel relaxed and sedated. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing by itself. However, what if you’re a working person with a demanding job? The last thing you want is to sleep on the job.
Ideally, you would like to experience the mood boosting and pain relieving properties of the kratom without having to sleep while you’re at it. This is where the green Malay kratom comes in. It increases your blood flow and stimulates your brain. You won’t feel any fatigue or lethargy.
The Effects don’t all occur at the same Time
This one is a bit nuanced. If you’ve tried out different strains of kratom, you’ll notice that their effects usually come all at the same time. You take the kratom and a few minutes later you’re flooded with all these sensations. Then, when they leave, they all leave at the same time.
You won’t have this problem with green Malay kratom. You first get an energy boost, followed by euphoria later. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy and utilize each effect separately on its own.
Properties of the Green Malay Kratom
The green Malay has a lot of positive effects, many which are stronger than in other strains of kratom. Here are some of the ones I personally experienced when I tried it out.
Possible Side Effects of Green Malay Kratom
With green Malay kratom, the side effects mostly come from taking too high a dose, especially when you haven’t become tolerant enough to it. You are advised to never take more than 10 grams of this kratom in a day to avoid the adverse effects.
Any more than 10 grams, no matter what your tolerance level, and you will begin to experience the following:
- Incoherence in thought
- Excessive talking
- Inability to concentrate
- Red rashes on legs
- Chronic migraines
You’re also generally advised not to take green Malay kratom on an empty stomach as it can bring on the same adverse effects.
Green Malay Kratom Dosage
So now that you know so much about this kratom, you probably want to know how much is safe. If you’re a beginner, I’ll give you the same advice I have always given to people just starting to use kratom: start small and slowly step up your dosage as you develop tolerance. It’s really that simple.
The minimum dosage for green Malay kratom is 1 gram. Though the most common dosage is between 2 and 4 grams for beginners. My advice is to take 2-3 grams per day when you’re starting out, especially if you weigh less than 150 pounds (70 kg).
You will typically feel the effects of the kratom begin to kick in after 2 hours. In about 5 days of taking the same dosage, you’ll notice that the effects do not kick in as strongly after 2 hours. That’s when you increase the dosage to 4 grams and so on.
You can keep up the trend and increase your dosage every 5 days. However, remember not to exceed the 10-gram cap as that’s the danger zone.
The green Malay kratom was honestly a Godsend for me. It boosted my morale and gave me the energy to face the day ahead of me. I honestly have no idea how I got by before I discovered it. What you have read above is my knowledge of this magical kratom leaf from many years of using it. I think you should try it too and feel the magic for yourself. A shared experience that makes us all better people.
